Repainting the Sunlit Pond

I recently took the leap to repaint over a piece I finished last year. I've learnt so much about color over the past few months that I just had to "fix" the harsh transition of light from the previous version.
I'm quite happy with how the newer version turned out. What do you think?

I added a lot more light greens and turquoise as well as accent whites and pale yellows to give a more natural transition of light.
Previous version
I relied on iridescent gold paint in the previous version from 2023 to give a sense of glow, while the rest of the colors had cool tones. This led to a much more abrupt transition of color, which I didn't know how to fix at the time.
I was also going for more of the Ancient Greece statue look at the time.

The urge to "fix" my previous paintings is never-ending and I generally try to ignore it, but this time I just couldn't! I have 2-3 more that I want to fix. Should I?
